I created this site to showcase the remarkable photos taken by my partner, Johan Adam du Preez, reflecting the world around us in a completely different way…. And although he ‘owns’ the rest of the pages, I retained the right to write the ABOUT page (for he is far too humble to say the things that I would type here!).

With his eye for unusual detail and especially water reflections, he has managed to capture nature (and man-made structures) in a unique series of abstract painting-like images, most of which have (surprisingly enough!) not been digitally altered to create their other-worldly appeal. (See the PLAY category for photos that he has treated a bit more creatively!)

Johan (or Adam, as I like to call him) is a lecturer in electronic engineering, but escapes to nature as often as possible, capturing perfect moments with his camera lens along the way.
